Dive into the world of rigging and learn to safely erect structural steel, install hoists and safety systems, and handle precast components on-site. You’ll master the use of rigging gear, perimeter safety screens, static lines, and cantilevered loading platforms, readying you for jobs big and small.
Prerequisites: Must hold a valid Dogging HRWL (CPCCLDG3001), be 18+, and show photo ID.
Core Learning: Structural steel erection, pre-cast component placement, setup and dismantling of hoists, installation of safety nets and lines, and regulatory rigging protocols (see training.gov.au).
Assessment: Holistic written, verbal, and practical checks performed over 5 days, finishing with a SafeWork high risk rigging licence test.
